Our experience in Transportation and Disposal ranges from the routine to the extreme, and is as varied as our clients' needs. Some notable examples include:

Vacuum Trucks - Long Haul and Decontamination

A major oil and gas firm brought inshore cutting boxes that contained waste from offshore operations. We brought the boxes to our Golden Meadow facility and pumped the waste into our vacuum trucks. Four vacuum trucks transported the waste to a disposal facility in Indiana, as the customer wished. We also decontaminated the boxes and returned them to the customer.

Rapid Barge Cleaning

A Gretna-based marine transportation firm needed to have a barge cleaned quickly to rent to another customer. We worked 24-hour days for a week using multiple crews to get this job done on time and in accordance with regulations.

Vessel Cleaning and Fuel Storage

An oilfield engineering services firm had to clean out a vessel for an upcoming USCG inspection. It hired us to pump out the good fuel for temporary storage. Because our storage facility has fifteen isolated tanks instead of one large one, we were able to keep the customer's fuel separate, filter it, and return it after the inspection.

Major Oil Spill - Onsite Waste Storage and Disposal

We handled all the waste storage, transportation, and disposal for the largest spill in the country in 2007, complementing the efforts of the other ES&H groups managing and cleaning the spill. Our roll-off boxes served as onsite storage, and our trucks moved and disposed of them. Our vacuum trucks were also used wherever needed. Meanwhile, we continued to handle our regular line of business without interruption.

Production Water Disposal

An oil and natural gas exploration and production company hired ES&H to dispose of production water from its wells. The company pumped the water into storage tanks and ES&H vacuum trucks removed it and transported it to a disposal facility.

Drum Disposal

A Harvey-based specialized oilfield services and equipment firm hired ES&H for regular transportation of its 55-gallon drums for disposal. The customer brings the drums inshore, and we pick them up from the ports.

Roll Off Boxes - Asbestos Removal/Disposal

More than twenty roll-off boxes were placed throughout the New Orleans area after Hurricane Katrina to collect Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) for disposal. Our trucks worked a steady rotation for over a year, picking up the containers, delivering them to a disposal site, and returning them for another load.

Oil Refinery - Waste Removal and Transportation

A Houston-based oil refining operation hired ES&H to help dispose of its refinery waste. The customer collected the waste on site. We then pumped it into our vacuum trucks and transported it to a disposal site in Arkansas, as the customer wished.
